When my husband and I wanted to take a cruise with my mom, we were waffling between New England and the Caribbean. This unique itinerary had everything we wanted: fascinating cities like Boston, the spectacular scenery of Acadia National Park in Maine, and secluded beaches in Bermuda — not to mention lots of fresh lobster!
The ship was also perfect for us. Jeni knew that my husband and I are foodies, so she suggested Oceania Cruises, known for their exceptional cuisine. The food on board was indeed excellent, and the ship was the perfect size, elegant yet comfortable, and never crowded. We felt so pampered and well cared for.
Perhaps most importantly, Jeni was there for us when things didn’t go as planned. When our cruise concluded in New York, weather caused extensive flight cancellations, and we could not get a new flight home until two days later. No worries! We simply called Jeni, and she soon had us booked in a lovely hotel. And because we had taken her sage advice and purchased travel insurance, our hotel and meals were covered, so we enjoyed our extra time in the city at no additional cost! “Jeni has helped me with four voyages, so far. The Panama Canal trip was my dream vacation. We sailed in October, 2019, out of Miami, through the Canal and into San Francisco.
I must share how Jeni saved me on arrival in San Francisco. Sitting in the main lounge of the ship, awaiting the announcement to disembark, I received a text from my airline that both my flights had been canceled — no reason given. The current offer was to arrive in Charlotte late in the afternoon, and I would not be able to get a connecting flight to Florida. I was traveling alone, and at that point was terrified as to what to do — especially when I am disembarking within minutes.
I texted Jeni as I got in line to disembark, and by the time I went through that line and got onto my coach that was going to the airport, Jeni had canceled the flights with the problem airline and rebooked me on a different airline (at the same times of the day, I might add) all the way to my Florida destination. This whole process was accomplished in less than an hour. I was so relieved and again felt safe.

“We came to Jeni with a clear budget and a desire to do a unique family vacation that would be limited work for us. We wanted a casual atmosphere with limited need for reserving meal times or activities. Jeni recommended Club Med Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for us, and it was a perfect fit for our family! It had a very casual atmosphere, was a smaller resort and we felt like we didn’t have to constantly be making choices while we were there, we could just show up for meals, drop off the kids at the Kids’ Club (where they partner with Cirque du Soleil for activities!) and simply relax (me), or do some sailing classes or a mini-marathon (my husband). Club Med PC has a very casual atmosphere with limited partiers. We felt very safe, found the diversity of international employees delightful and the suite where we stayed perfect for our family. While we didn’t stay there, they also have an adults only section and more exclusive villas that faced the ocean. While we were at a resort, it did not feel at all touristy or like we were constantly bombarded by staff. We also took advantage of doing an off-site zip-lining excursion in the rainforest.
Having never used a travel agent, we knew there would be value since we also had never traveled internationally as a family. Jeni gave us great advice, made sure to keep us on point with passports timelines and kept the complexities of destination travel at a minimum by arranging it for us. I have recommended Jeni to several of my friends since partnering with her for travel and they all, like me, have been very impressed with how easy she makes planning and preparing for vacations. It really makes the whole experience much more enjoyable.”
